Fill the tub with warm water, aromatic oils and bath salt (great antibiotic). Soak both of your feet in the tub and relax. You need to soak your feet for 10 minutes. While soaking remember you are not only soaking your feet but you are soaking away the pollution and other stress factors too. 10 minutes over? Take out your feet and pat dry.
Step 2 : Remove The Old Nail Polish

If you have any old nail polish on your toes, remove it using a nail polish remover. Ensure your nail remover does not contain an acetone which will dry out your nails so soon.
Wipe out the nail polish using the cotton balls. Do this process for one feet at a time. Once you are done, soak both of your feet in the tub again. So you will not leave any cotton traces on the toes. It’s the time to give some simple exercises to your feet like moving “moving your feet in circular motion”. After 2 minutes, towel dry your feet.
Step 3 : Trim And Get Your Nails A Good Shape

Next step in how to do pedicure at home is ” Trimming”. Yes it is time to trim your toenails. To trim your nails you suppose to use nail clippers. Avoid using the scissors. Generally big toe nail will be tougher than all other nails. So start from outside and move toward the center. Trim this way on both sides.
Length of your nail should cover the nail bed but it should not be too long. Otherwise it will create a claw like look. Cut your nails in the natural shape of your nail. Do not cut it in the rounded shape. When you cut the nails with the clipper, chances are you may cut it so deep. So when it comes to shape your nail, it is good practice to use the file instead of clippers. Filing your nails in 1 direction from outward toward the middle will result in a good shape. Remove the ridges too. As it ruins the shape avoid file your nails from back to forth.
To get a better shape my suggestion is use “emery board” to file your nails. In emery board coarse side is for shaping and the smooth side is for smoothing the edges. Clear?
On bearing various nail polishes over the period, your nails might turn somewhat yellow in color. Buff the top layer of the nails lightly. This will give your nails a normal color again. Change the water and fill the tub with the fresh water. Soaking your feet again in the water will remove all the dust.
Step 4 : Trim Your Cuticles

Apply cuticle oil and give a slight massage for a minute. As you are learning how to do a pedicure at home for the first time the entire process may seem like a time consuming. But it is nothing wrong to spend a little time for yourself. Who can care you more than yourself?
Step 5 : Dead Skin Removal (In heel)

As you have soaked your feet in water, skin at the back of your heel must be seem smooth now. Scrub it using a pumice stone. If your skin seems very dry, mixing a cup of milk in the warm water will help loosen the dead skin. You have to repeat the process of scrubbing and washing many times until you achieve a desired result. Check around your feet and see whether any dead skin patches are left out. If so, repeat the process again. Once you are done with one foot, massage it up to the knee using any exfoliating foot or body scrub and continue with the other.
Step 6 : Give A Foot Massage
